Every morning, Michelin-starred chef Thierry Schwartz delivers his pastries, breads and creations to Hôtel du Dragon.
Croissants and pains au chocolat straight from the oven, country breads and cereal breads form a generous base, joined by artisan jams and honey from Alsatian producers.
Seasonal fruit changes through the year: apricots and strawberries in spring, plums and apples in autumn, citrus in winter. Organic yoghurts and fromage blanc complete a table designed to start the day well, without heaviness.
The kouglof, an Alsatian brioche with almonds and raisins, naturally has its place: it is the region's sweet signature, and one of the best ways to understand where you are.
It is all enjoyed in the bright breakfast room or on the terrace, in the quiet of the inner patio, a few steps from the banks of the Ill.

Eggs are cooked to order, and both butter and dairy come from short supply chains, chosen from artisans and farms of the Bas-Rhin.

The “Organic & Gourmand” breakfast brings together local and organic produce. The pastries, breads and creations are delivered each morning by Michelin-starred chef Thierry Schwartz. The buffet includes artisan jams, seasonal fruit, organic honeys and yoghurts, along with a savoury selection of charcuterie, cheeses, eggs and a farmhouse Munster matured in the traditional way.
Breakfast is served every day from 6.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
Breakfast is served in the bright breakfast room of the Hôtel du Dragon. In fine weather it is also served on the terrace, in the quiet of the inner patio.
The Hôtel du Dragon does not provide catering other than breakfast, but a meal tray can always be brought to your room on request at reception. Strasbourg's historic centre, its winstubs and its restaurants are also within walking distance of the hotel.
